New York Clock Tower Penthouse

August 14, 2010

This is the first in a series of indeterminate length of architectural wonders I keep happening upon. Over the next few months I’m going to be doing my best to expand as well as refine my personal design manifesto through word and image.

In this space I love the warmth of the light, the one-of-a-kind nature of the clocks, the wood + white combination and the extensive use of glass. The view of the Brooklyn Bridge doesn’t hurt either.

With 16′ ceilings, four 14′ clocks, a glass elevator and floating staircase, this unbelievable penthouse apartment could be mine for a mere $25 mil! According to the New York Times, this 6,400 square foot apartment is on the market for “more than double the highest price known to have been paid for a home in Brooklyn.”
